Giovani Samaha, a name synonymous with dedication and excellence in the tennis world, has achieved remarkable feats throughout his professional career. In June 2017, after graduating from TROY University with a degree in Finance, Giovani took the leap and turned professional. For the next two years, he embarked on a thrilling journey, traversing the globe and competing in tournaments for nearly 35 weeks each year. This relentless pursuit of excellence epitomizes Giovani’s unwavering passion for tennis and his unwavering ambition to break into the coveted top 100 rankings.

As an accomplished professional, Giovani’s track record is adorned with significant milestones. Among these achievements is his exceptional management of his own tennis academy from 2019 to 2021. During this period, Giovani successfully oversaw the operations of the academy, leading a team of two tennis coaches and a fitness coach. His diligent efforts focused on promoting the academy nationwide, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to nurturing young talent. Starting with just one court, Giovani’s academy experienced exponential growth, expanding to six courts and attracting a clientele of over a hundred avid tennis enthusiasts.
Giovani’s journey is a testament to his passion, determination, and unwavering commitment to the sport of tennis. Through his professional achievements and the growth of his tennis academy, Giovani continues to inspire and shape the future of tennis both on and off the court.

As a dedicated coach, Giovani’s experience is profound. He has been a coach at the Mouratoglou tennis center Jumeirah since October 2020 and is currently coaching Kristina Mladenovic, former #10 in the world and world #1 in doubles. Giovani also served as the full-time travelling coach of WTA Player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, ranked 11th globally, for the 2020-2021 season. His commitment to his athletes has seen him travel to various locations, including Abu Dhabi and Australia, to participate in WTA tournaments and the Australian Open.

Proudly representing Lebanon in various prestigious competitions, Giovani has helped boost his country’s reputation in international tennis. He represented Lebanon at the Asian Games in Palembang, Indonesia, in 2018, reaching the quarterfinals. That same year, he also represented his country at the Arab Games, where Lebanon placed third behind Egypt and Tunisia. His representation continued at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona, Spain, in 2019, where Lebanon placed 4th.

Being a member and leader of the National Davis Cup Team since 2014 has been another point of pride in Giovani’s career. He led his team to victory in the Davis Cup Zone 3 Asia/Oceana in Sri Lanka in July 2017, resulting in a promotion to Zone 2 Asia/Oceana for 2018. The team’s success continued under his leadership, winning the Davis Cup Zone 2 Asia/Oceana in 2018, defeating strong competitors such as China Taipei, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

Giovani’s prowess extends beyond team competitions. He won his first professional ATP doubles championship in June 2017 at Sri Lanka F1 futures, and throughout his career, he claimed victory in four ATP tournaments and made three additional final appearances. His ATP career high singles ranking stands at 750, and doubles ranking at 525.

Beyond his career as an athlete, Giovani has also established himself as a dedicated coach and mentor for younger athletes. With two years of experience as a travelling coach for top Lebanese junior players across all age groups and an ITF Level 1 coaching certificate, he has proven his ability to guide and shape the next generation of tennis stars.
